AMERICAN TITANS: BERNSTEIN AND SONDHEIM, Lenox, MA

  • Tanglewood - Koussevitzky Music Shed 297 West Street Lenox, MA, 01240 United States (map)

As we celebrate America’s 250th birthday, Tanglewood honors two composers who helped shape one of America’s signature musical institutions. Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim’s work on Broadway broke ground and forged pathways, from their collaboration on WEST SIDE STORY to Bernstein’s ON THE TOWN and CANDIDE, to Sondheim’s SWEENEY TODD and A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC.

Kalte baldwin joins The Boston Pops, conducted by Damon Gupton, and some of musical theater’s freshest talent, to pay tribute to two titans of the Great White Way.
